Shows This Weekend is only useful if you can trust what's on it. These are the rules we hold every listing to, from the first time we find a show to the day it comes off the calendar.
SourcingEvery date, address, price, and contact detail traces to a specific source URL we can point to — an organizer’s own site, a venue calendar, or a ticketing page.No invented factsIf we can’t verify a fact, the field is left blank and the listing is flagged for review. We never guess a date, round an address, or estimate a price to fill a gap.CorrectionsWhen a source changes or someone flags an error, we re-verify against the source and update the record. We don’t leave a listing showing a canceled or rescheduled show as upcoming.DuplicatesWhen the same show appears from more than one source, we merge the listing and keep whichever source’s fact for each field is the most complete and current — we don’t just take the first one we found.FreshnessPast and canceled events are automatically removed from public listings rather than left live. A show you find here is upcoming, not stale. Found a listing that doesn't hold up to this standard? Tell us which show and what's wrong — we'll re-verify against the source and fix it.
