Dayton Liederkranz-Turner is Dayton's oldest German-American club, founded in 1890 and run as an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization. Its purpose is to promote and preserve German culture and traditions in the Miami Valley. The club hosts three annual concerts, an Oktoberfest, the Christkindlmarkt Christmas market and special events, and is best known for its GermanFest Picnic each August. Member groups include a choir, baking group, genealogy group, German classes and folk dancing.
