About the organizer

The Hudson Museum at the University of Maine in Orono is a free, public museum of ethnographic and archaeological objects, housed in the Collins Center for the Arts. It offers guided tours, gallery programs and teacher resources that support Maine Studies and Maine Native American Studies, and it presents the Wabanaki Winter Market each December. That market, billed as New England's largest holiday gathering of Wabanaki artists, lets shoppers buy baskets, jewelry, carvings and beadwork directly from Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy and Penobscot makers.
