About the organizer

Pacificon is an amateur radio convention and a service mark of the Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club, which is based in the San Francisco East Bay area of California. It runs as a three-day event with forums, an all-day antenna seminar, a vendor and nonprofit expo, an outdoor swap meet, license classes and two days of license testing. It also includes a banquet, prizes, kit building, youth and scouting activities and an ARRL presence, and it suits ham radio operators and people interested in getting licensed. The site says the first annual Pacificon conference was held in San Francisco in 1920.
