About the organizer

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), founded in 1966, is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the reining horse in a family atmosphere and serves as the standard-setting body for the sport worldwide. Its site lists more than 370 premier events, about 15,000 members and reach into 40 countries. Reining is a judged event in which a ranch-type horse runs a pre-selected pattern of circles, lead changes, spins and sliding stops. NRHA's calendar includes the NRHA Futurity at the OKC Fairgrounds in late November and early December.
