About the organizer

The Bridge Day Commission organizes Bridge Day, West Virginia's largest single-day festival and one of the largest extreme sports events in the world. It is held every third Saturday in October on the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayette County, the one day a year when spectators can walk across the bridge and watch BASE jumpers leap 876 feet into the gorge and rappellers use the catwalk. The 2026 festival is October 17, and the site offers sponsorship packages and activity information.
