About the organizer

Step by Step Promotions is a Chicago-area promoter, owned by Kim Grau, that runs Festival of Arts and Crafts shows limited to hand-crafted products. The 2026 schedule has indoor weekend shows at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake in March, early October and late November, plus an outdoor October show at Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva. Shows list roughly 200 to 310 booths and the company says it advertises them heavily to bring shoppers back each year. Visitors can expect handmade gifts and crafts from vendors who are juried in; the site notes a jury date for next year's shows.
