About the organizer

The Mande Milkshakers are a women's marching and philanthropy group based on the Louisiana Northshore. They combine parades and dance with community fundraising, and host their own events such as the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes charity walk, a holiday tea and a ball with charity auction. Proceeds from the walk have benefited Safe Harbor, a St. Tammany Parish domestic-abuse services agency.
