About the organizer

Run for the Dogs organizes themed 5K run/walks that partner with local animal shelters around the country and raise funds for them. The series started in Illinois as a fun alternative to typical road races, and walkers are welcome at every event, with leashed pets allowed. Participants receive a shirt, custom bib, doggie charm and finisher medal, and each race features a local charity or shelter. Events include stops in Ocala and Lake Worth Beach, Florida and the Howl-o-ween 5K in Campbellsport, Wisconsin.
