The weekend field guide
Preparing to sell at a show: a table-holder checklist
Confirm your seller application, table equipment, setup time and organizer terms before booking a place at a collector or hobby show.
Contact the organizer before packing
Use the official event website to ask whether tables are available, whether your merchandise is eligible, and how applications are accepted. A public admission ticket is not evidence of a booked seller space. Keep written confirmation of the booking and what it includes.
Read the actual application
The Vienna Coin Show’s April 2026 application separates public hours from dealer setup time and asks applicants to specify tables, cases and lights. It also requires organizer acknowledgement before the application becomes an agreement. This past application illustrates questions to ask; its prices and terms are not a quote for your next show.
Make an equipment and access checklist
Confirm table dimensions, chairs, power, display cases, loading access and when you must finish setup. Ask how stock is secured overnight and whether helpers need separate credentials. Note the organizer’s answer rather than assuming the venue supplies equipment.
Check the terms that affect your booking
Read the organizer’s cancellation, permitted merchandise and space-allocation terms. Ask the organizer or an appropriate professional about requirements that apply to your business. This checklist does not establish tax, insurance or licensing rules for a location.
Make it easy for visitors to find the right listing
Link to the existing event listing or use our listing badge. The badge states only that the show is listed here; it does not imply organizer verification, sponsorship or endorsement. If a date or venue is wrong, send a correction with the official source before sharing it.
